- The Women's Centre of Karditsa was founded in 1992. It started operating in January 1993. It is a non-profit-making civil company, the majority of which is owned by the Municipality of Karditsa. It is managed by a 9-member Board of Directors. It is based in the Municipality of Karditsa, but operates in the wider area of the Regional Unit of Karditsa. It participates in regional, national and transnational networks promoting equal opportunities in all areas of women's activities. The Women's Centre of Karditsa has as its main objective the support of all women, without any discrimination!
